Homemade Sahlab Powder - Middle Eastern Milk Pudding

Ingredients
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 1 cup whole milk powder
  • 1/2 cup corn starch
  • 1/2 cup rice flour
  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds toasted
  • 1/2 cup raisins optional
  • 1/2 cup toasted mixed nuts chopped. optional
Instructions
  1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and store in a jar.

  2. To make the sahlab, in a pot, add one tbsp of the sahlab powder to 200 ml of cold milk and stir until its completely dissolved.

  3.  Put on medium heat for 3-5 minutes, stirring constantly until thickened. Serve with a sprinkle of chopped nuts.
